The traditional leadership of Gbi-Bla on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, officially outdoored a new community flag, marking a historic moment in the town’s cultural journey. The flag is intended to serve as both a practical and symbolic banner under which the people of Gbi-Bla will gather, celebrate and express their collective identity.
The newly unveiled flag embodies the community’s pride and shared heritage. It features a rectangular horizontal tricolor of gold at the top, white in the middle, and solid black at the bottom, all in equal proportions. At its centre lies a striking monochrome honeybee with a protruding sting, set against a white circular background that neatly divides the gold and black fields.
According to the leadership, the colors and symbol carry the same meanings as those captured in the community’s official logo, reinforcing continuity between visual identity and cultural symbolism. The flag is expected to become a rallying emblem for unity, heritage and self-expression.
