Gbi-Bla, April 1, 2024 — The Easter spirit was alive at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Gbi-Bla as Togbe Buami IX and Mama Ama Serwa III, accompanied by their Chiefs, Queen Mothers, and Elders, joined parishioners to celebrate the Easter Monday Holy Mass.
The solemn gathering on April 1 reaffirmed a cherished tradition tied to the Buami Stool, where successive occupants have long observed Easter Monday in fellowship with the Catholic faithful.
This year’s celebration was marked by hymns of thanksgiving, prayers for peace, and renewed commitment to preserving customs that bridge generations.
